Time is the Enemy

Anti-Jewish slogans and graffiti are now common throughout the former Soviet states. Public billboards calling for Russia to be cleansed of the Jews are seen in many cities. People have been beaten in their own apartments and some have even been killed for just being a Jew.

The greatest enemy is time. It is only a matter of time before the doors for immigration slam shut leaving these precious people's lives hanging in the balance. There is no time to waste. We must get them out now while we can!

Rescuing the Street Children

There are more than 5,000 street children in Kiev alone living in the most terrible conditions. Most are between 7 and 17 years old; some as young as 4 years old. These children have often been rejected by their families or have themselves rejected their families; are distrustful of adults and those in authority. In order to survive they are turning to crime. Many are sniffing glue or taking drugs and alcohol. The children are as young as two years old – a "lost" group.

Ezra workers are finding these children in their hiding places, reaching out to them and showing them the love of God in various practical, ways:

Ezra workers seek to inspire trust from the children through continuing unconditional love and provision.
