What Is a Fishing Trip?

A Fishing Trip is an organized discovery tour to Ukraine from the U.S., Canada, or the UK, accompanied by Ezra International representatives.  Come alongside Ezra International’s Ukraine team as they visit with Jewish families and individuals preparing to make aliyah.  Through a Fishing Trip, you see firsthand God’s fulfillment of His promise through theFishing Trips-FAQ prophets that He will bring the Jewish people home to Israel from the four corners of the earth.

What Do You Do on a Fishing Trip?

You meet with Ezra International’s Ukraine team as you see them assist Jewish families preparing to make aliyah to Israel.  You will travel overnight by train with Ezra’s Ukraine team members to visit Jewish families in Kiev and Odessa.

During your stay in Kiev, you will visit Babi Yar, where thousands of Jewish people were massacred by the Nazis during World War II.  You will also meet with Holocaust survivors, expressing your support and commitment to them as you let them know that they are not forgotten or alone.  You will assist in the delivery of humanitarian aid supplies to needy Jewish families, and you will visit The Father’s House, a center for Kiev’s street children operated by one of our partner organizations in Ukraine.

Ezra International’s team in Russia helped Reuven return home at last—to Israel, the land God promised to his forefathers centuries ago.  As a Jewish young man, Reuven believes that Israel is where he belongs, his place as the Almighty swore long ago to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Moving to Israel is, for Reuven, the fulfilment of a dream he has held all his life.  He has spent the last few years studying Hebrew and learning more about the traditions of Judaism.  …
