Short Term Mission Opportunities – Holocaust Survivors

In April 2007 members of House of David Ministries in Fairland Oklahoma took part in a short term mission opportunity with Ezra International in Kiev, Ukraine:

On our third day in the Ukraine we went to a building that headquartered various national organizations including the Jewish Council of the Ukraine. The Jewish Organization included an “Organization of Jewish Culture“, a “Newspaper“, and the “Fund of Babi Yar.” It also housed the “Holocaust and Ghetto Survivors Association of the Ukraine” which we were visiting that day. We were given a bag with gifts and given the opportunity to give it to one of the holocaust survivors (about 50) with whom we were meeting. Boris Zabargo, the head of the Jewish Organization in the Ukraine, gave a presentation. Barry Wagner spoke next and was a good friend with a member of that organization who had just passed away. Boris mentioned that they appreciated Barry’s remembrance of their friend. Curt Landry was next and he gave a very warm message that the group greatly appreciated.
