Time is the Enemy

Anti-Jewish slogans and graffiti are now common throughout the former Soviet states. Public billboards calling for Russia to be cleansed of the Jews are seen in many cities. People have been beaten in their own apartments and some have even been killed for just being a Jew.

The greatest enemy is time. It is only a matter of time before the doors for immigration slam shut leaving these precious people's lives hanging in the balance. There is no time to waste. We must get them out now while we can!

Will you help us?

Mission Opportunities – The Holocaust Survivors

From a short term Ezra mission trip in April 2007: On our third day in the Ukraine we went to a building that headquartered various national organizations including the Jewish Council of the Ukraine. The Jewish Organization included an “Organization of Jewish Culture“, a “Newspaper“, and the “Fund of Babi Yar.” It also housed the “Holocaust and Ghetto Survivors Association of the Ukraine” which we were visiting that day. We were given a bag with gifts and given the opportunity to give it to one of the holocaust survivors (about 50) with whom we were meeting. Boris Zabargo, the head of the Jewish Organization in the Ukraine, gave a presentation. Barry Wagner spoke next and was a good friend with a member of that organization who had just passed away. Boris mentioned that they appreciated Barry’s remembrance of their friend.
