ISRAEL SUPPORTERS FOUND IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA

The following two letters were recently received in the Ezra office. One from Australia, the other from a pastor in Papua New Guinea. Such a love for Israel and the Jewish people. How can we do anything less than these precious people who can't even afford a pair of shoes?

Enclosed is an offering we have been asked to forward to you of $1,000 USD from believers in the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea that love Israel and want to bless His people and associated ministries.

As you probably know, Victor and I first contacted this people group in 1961, and have had an ongoing relationship with them ever since. We have seen them come into an understanding of the Word through the Scriptures we translated into their language and then witnessed the progression of love and identity with His chosen people.

This offering comes from a nation where only a few have employment or even own a pair of shoes! The people in PNG live simply in remote villages with a daily diet of vegetables from their gardens and without the luxury of plumbing or electricity. However, they have a love for the Jewish people and they want to bless them. They have requested that this gift be used to help Jewish people make aliyah from Ukraine.

Hello and New Year greetings from my family and the ministry team here in Papua New Guinea. We stand behind you in whatever we can to bless God's chosen people, Israel, through your ministry in a smaller or bigger ways.

Our main objective is to bring the children of Israel back to their ancient land from every where around the world.

For this purpose, the ministry here has sacrificed for the last eight years in sending gifts to other organizations and also for 2008 you will receive some funds from Victor Schlatter which I have already deposited. I came to learn of your ministry only last year on the television screen on an interview and latter confirmed by Victor Schlatter.

You can see a woman giving an animal offering during our love offering time January 2 - 3, 2009 to bless the nation of Israel at Towan in the Southern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea.
