Time is the Enemy

Anti-Jewish slogans and graffiti are now common throughout the former Soviet states. Public billboards calling for Russia to be cleansed of the Jews are seen in many cities. People have been beaten in their own apartments and some have even been killed for just being a Jew.

The greatest enemy is time. It is only a matter of time before the doors for immigration slam shut leaving these precious people's lives hanging in the balance. There is no time to waste. We must get them out now while we can!

Ukrainian President Visits Orphage

How blessed we were to have Ukraine's president Victor Yushchenko, visit the children and staff of Father's House – an orphanage Ezra cosponsors along with other local organizations and individuals.

Receiving a tour from Dr. Roman Korniyko, the founder of Father's House, President Yushchenko spent quality time with the children and staff members – and saw for himself the wonderful facilities, successful education classes, and endless love that the children enjoy at the orphanage.

During his visit, President Yushchenko also remarked that, in 2008, the issue of orphaned children will receive special attention from his administration. "I plan to issue an appropriate decree, to instill a sense of responsibility into millions of people and to stimulate very bold, courageous, and generous decisions about orphan children's adoption," he said.

This beautiful orphanage is giving hope to hundreds of orphans because of your continuing support. Thank you so much for all you are doing to give these precious children the promise of a bright future!
